This spring & summer, Northern Vermont University’s Center for Professional Studies (CPS) is offering an array of new classes to help you achieve your professional goals. This free event will give you an opportunity to learn about CPS and it’s class catalog, plus information about how to fund your professional development with a representative from VSAC on site.

Below is a schedule for the event, with links to more information about featured classes:
  • 9:00am - Introductions and overview with CPS Director Ann Nygard

  • 9:10am - VSAC presentation with Marti Kingsley (she will remain on site until 11:30)

  • 9:20am - Tasting Course #1: Permaculture Design with Stacy Doll of Root to Rise

  • 10:00am - Tasting Course #2: Supervisor Skills & Guest Services with Professor James Noyes

  • 10:40am - E-Toolkit overview with CPS Director Ann Nygard

  • 11:20am - Tasting Course #3: Actionable Diversity & Inclusion at Work with Dr. Elaine O’Rielly

Course instructors will each present a 40-minute sample class, teaching real content and completing actual exercises. Courses to be offered online will include an overview of what to expect from NVU's online learning platform E-toolkit.
